Boy on the Bike – Sundown

BOY ON THE BIKE – Sundown    (Digital, 2016)

Inspired by a short ride from my home to my parents’ home, “Sundown” takes us through a park lit up by the setting sun. The trees, all unique in their shape and leaves, are made all the more beautiful by the sun’s golden glow.

You may notice some inconsistencies with the boy’s bike (can you spot them?)

Life is full of new things to learn and new places to explore. We all make mistakes and we all fall over, but we all have the ability to get back onto the bike and make it home before the sun sets. God tells us that His steadfast love never ceases, and that His mercies are new every morning [Lamentations 2:22-23].

When we make mistakes, when we stumble and fall, let us take a moment to remember God’s faithfulness. It might help us see our situation in a new light.

Introducing “Boy on the Bike”, and “The Lawyer”

What better way to launch Lily of the Valleys, then to introduce you to these two characters? Inspired by my parents who see Jesus in every aspect of life, “Boy on the Bike” and “The Lawyer” give us an insight into the beauty of daily living. Join them as they find God in every place and situation!

PS: The “antennae” worn by “Boy on the Bike” are  based on cable ties my dad has on his bike helmet. They are used to scare away the magpies!

2016 Boy on the Bike - Towards the Clouds

Atop the hills, the clouds await,
The sun paints gold the grass.
See there! Stand still,
And here behold,
Jesus, the King of Glory.

THE LAWYER – Office      (Digital, 2016)

2016 The Lawyer - Office

Not just a mess of paper cords,
Not just an inner dread,
Not just a view of outside world,
But here, a prayer den.
